Thanks to the cooperation of HZPC potato research in Metslawier, we can start growing potatoes. We are using a special variety developed for cultivation in Kenya: Java.
We are growing the potatoes on our own grounds, but also at two primary schools. The local farmers who follow courses with us each received a kilo of seed potatoes too. In total 100 kg has been planted.
Now we wait and see what the yield will be.
